Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Originating from one of superstar Wayne Gretzky’s more noteworthy contests, we have a puck used by The Great One to score his fourth goal of the game vs the Calgary Flames, on April 17, in Game 3 of the second round of the 1983 Stanley Cup playoffs. Wayne would also add a trio of assists for a seven-point night, with the Oilers demolishing the Flames in Calgary, 10-2. Assisted by Glenn Anderson and Lee Fogolin, the puck is wrapped in white stick tape (now yellowed), with the important particulars handwritten including "Apr. 17, Gretzky 4th goal, playoff, Cal, Ed 7, Cal 2." Originating from the archives of the Edmonton Oilers, a team LOA signed by Kevin Lowe will accompany this desirable goal puck.
