An amazing piece of hockey history, Wayne Gretzky used this Titan TPM stick to record the 212th and final point of his astounding 1981-82 season with the Edmonton Oilers. Wayne, whose 92 goals remain an NHL single-season record, broke the 200-point plateau for the first of four times in his career. He has used this stick in the Oilers' 2-1 win over Winnipeg on April 4, 1982, when he capped his incredible third NHL campaign with his 120th assist for his 212th point, both league records that he would ultimately improve upon. The stick was retrieved by team owner Peter Pocklington from the players' bench and gifted to a loyal Oilers fans, who kept it in his possession for nearly 20 years. "W. Gretzky" is stamped on the shaft with "Point No. 212 Last Season Game Apr. 4/82" blue ballpoint notation handwritten below it. Wayne's iconic number "99" is written in faded blue marker below his excellent original tape job on the knob, while the blue marker notation low on the shaft remains much bolder. "Mar 31 1982" date stamp sits at the bottom of the white portion on the back of the stick and "WG" is handwritten in pencil on the back at the top of the heel. Baby powder residue remains on Wayne's black bulldog tape job on the blade, which is torn on the front of the heel and is missing a few rows towards the toe. Solid game use includes red and blue paint transfer on the shaft and black marks. This museum-worthy piece comes with Shawn Chaulk's signed LOA and an additional LOA outlining the history and provenance of the stick.
