Depicting The Great One's journey from the outdoor rink to NHL superstardom, this 1991 artwork titled "A Boy and his Dream" by artist James Lumbers beautifully captures the impact of Walter Gretzky's influence on the development of Wayne into hockey's greatest icon. At approx 25” x 28”, the litho pictures Gretzky as both a youth player and during his time with Los Angeles, under the watchful eye of his father. The icon has signed at the base in pencil, the artist signed over the bottom right, as well as on top of the glass in the same area, with the limited-edition number of “536/999” over the bottom left. Double-matted and framed to dimensions of 35 ½” x 39” with the frame showing only light wear, a matching COA will accompany the piece that has been signed by Wayne’s father, Walter, in blue ballpoint pen. Of note, due to the size and weight of the item, special shipping arrangements may be required.
Please note; While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for any damage to frames that occurs during shipping.
