Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

Wayne’s second of four NHL homes, The Great Gretzky would spend 8 seasons in Los Angeles where he would serve as the darling to the Hollywood crowd, with his time in California recognized as the catalyst to the NHL’s American expansion. We have a Kings captain’s jersey from 1992-93 signed by Gretzky, most likely in a private signing session. A CCM “Vintage” model with labeling along the collar including a “54” size tag, the jersey has been styled with an attractive Kings team crest with embroidered detailing, finished with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers along with the Stanley Cup centennial crest over the right breast. Wayne has signed within the first reverse “9” in black marker, and the signature displays well, with just minimal bleeding, with a hologram from WGA placed just below. Noted Gretzky collector Shawn Chaulk has examined the signature, and given it his approval.
