Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
A mixed group of vintage hockey items in this lot, including a small cabinet photo and postcard, a Toronto Maple Leafs kid’s duffle bag, a pair of gloves, and a pair of shin pads. The small photo is on an 8” x 10” mount, and it features a team with winged “V” sweaters, and it appears to date to the 1910’s. The real-photo postcard is standard size, and it shows players in assorted uniforms, most likely dating to the early 1920’s. The Maple Leafs children’s equipment bag is in good condition, with not much wear to the Leafs logo, and a former owner has written his name on the bottom section. The gloves were made by CCM, most likely in the late 1940’s or 1950’s, and they are in very good condition, with just some wear from honest use. Lastly, the “Armour Cap” shin pads were produced by Cooper-Weeks, probably from the 1950’s, and they are in excellent condition, with only very light wear. A former owner has also written his name onto the inner section, and this does not affect their display value whatsoever.
