Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Similar in style to the examples worn by Milwaukee and possibly hailing from the Quebec minor league team, we have a “Braves” jersey and pants combo that hails from the late-1940s/mid-1950s. Produced by Toronto firm Crofton and Crofton which lends credence to a Quebec origin, the jersey sports labeling along the collar, with a matching tag affixed within the pant’s waistband. Styled with “Braves” across the chest in stylized script and administered in thick red felt, “10” resides on verso in matching material, with a red and blue Indian head crest also gracing the left sleeve. All of the original buttons are intact, with a few small and random stains on the jersey which includes some discolouration visible over the lower front. The pants also exhibit some staining, and remain fully intact, with no tearing or material loss. This is definitely one of the more attractive vintage baseball uniforms we have ever offered.
