A wonderful assortment of vintage baseball items encompassing more than a half century of diamond action are offered, with a number of desirable specimens included as well as the odd football item. First, we have a group of 8 Baseball Emblems by McDonald Mfg from 1952, with examples for the Phillies, Athletics, Cubs, Cardinals, Tigers, Giants and Reds, with each still inserted within it’s original cardboard backing (5 ¼” x 5 ¼”), a vintage Rock City Tobacco Chicago Cubs lighter, a small plastic Louisville mini-bat rack with signature model bats, a trio of vintage 1966-71 Gold Base bobble heads including the Astros, Cubs and Mets, a 1958-62 Hartland Don Drysdale (no base), vintage full-size Redlegs and early-LA Dodgers pennants, an M&M boys training camp film, a Mantle & Maris Wear pictorial clear bag by Norwich, vintage 1930s Cards and Tigers mini pennants (8”), schedules, board games, photos, lunch boxes and more!
Also included, we have a Rawlings Record Book from 1934, a Sporting News booklet from 1940, a Cragstan Washington Redskins 8mm film, a pair of different Jack Dempsey match booklets (no matches), a 1949 Braves/Red Sox schedule, a 1986 World Series banner, a set of 48 early-1980s baseball buttons, a dozen 1980s mini MLB pennants (8”), a “Centennial of Baseball” first day cover from 1969 with Ruth image, a vintage baseball Coca-Cola bottle opener, a group of 10 Dimanche/Derniere Heure Expos player pictures, 4 collector baseball plates (Ruth 2 different, Mantle and Ryan), a Ted Williams Sears Shooting Tips guide, three small tins, and more! The Baseball Emblems show light wear with toning to the packaging, while the Drysdale Hartland shows a few small separations, with glue residue to the bottom of the feet. The Cubs bobble head exhibits wear to the opening beneath the head, while the Mets doll has chipping to the head and hat. The Astros doll shows light to moderate wear including some chipping to the base. The full-size pennants show light wear, while the mini examples exhibit wear and fading. The collector plates show no issues, with mostly handling wear the main concern with most of the smaller items in the lot. Lastly, the board games are likely not complete, and include Radio Baseball (1930s, 14” x 21”, heavy wear and damage to the box), Peg Baseball (1960s, 11” x 15, moderate to heavier wear) and Canadian Armchair Football (1980s, 11” x 14”, moderate wear).
