Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Produced by Jacques Plante’s Fibrosport company in Magog, Quebec, we have a fiberglass goal mask from the early-1970s. Especially large, a full foot in length from the top of the forehead to the bottom tip of the chin, the original strapping and back plate are gone, with all five original clasps intact. There is only one square section of interior padding, with this placed just behind the upper forehead. Someone has also written “Jacques Plante” in black marker over the left side of the mask. Heavy use is instantly apparent, with considerable wear to the surface including numerous puck marks, scratches and minor chips.
