Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Featuring five past NHL stars, we have a vintage player pennant collection of six, highlighted by a trio of desirable caricature pennants from the early-1970s. The first three feature artwork by Bob Pelkowski, with examples for Stan Mikita, Pete Mahovlich and Bernie Parent. At approx 26 ½” in length, each pennant has the player’s name over the right, with a charming drawing and facsimile signature over the left. Each has intact tassels, with light staining to the Mahovlich and a clipped tip and pinholes to the Parent. Next, we have a Gilbert Perreault 500th goal pennant, at 24” in length, with a portrait over the left and no tassels (as issued), with just light wear. Lastly, we have a matching pair of Denis Potvin career stats pennants, at approx 29” in length, with career highlights listed and a great image, with no tassels (as issued) and minimal wear, with one having a few pinholes and the very tip clipped.
