A shut down reliever from Venezuela who made the MLB's mid-summer classic in both 1998 and 2002, Ugueth Urbina would also lead the National League in saves for 1999 and win a World Series with the Florida Marlins in 2003. A member of the Montreal Expos between 1995 and 2001, the organization who signed him as an amateur free agent in July of 1990, offered here is this Expos jersey worn by Urbina in the mid-to-late-1990s during either the 1996 or 1999 seasons of play based on the tagging style, lack of any special anniversary patches and lack of MLB logo patch over the collar. Made by Russel Athletic and sporting the brands "Authentic Diamond Collection" label affixed to the front tail, additional labels reading "100% Polyester" and "4" EXTRA LENGTH" are present as well underneath. Decorated over the front with a dual layer blue-over-red script "Expos" along with Urbina's number "41" in matching style, the number appears again over the reverse along with "Urbina" spelt out over the upper reverse in a gentle arch via letters that have been sewn directly to the material of the jersey, once again in matching style as what is seen on the front. Having had an Expos team patch sewn over the left sleeve, the jersey shows good game-use via some soiling and staining throughout, some loose threads and evidence of washing on the twill accents and decorations.
