Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Toronto’s second Stanley Cup title of the NHL era was won by the St. Patricks in 1921-22. The precursors of the Maple Leafs, the St. Pats beat Ottawa in the league final before defeating PCHA champions Vancouver in five games to win the Stanley Cup. Deceased HOFers Babe Dye, Harry Cameron and Reg Noble are lined up with their 1921-22 St. Pats teammates in this remarkable 7” x 17” original McLean Photo Co. team photo. Presented in a 12 1/2" x 22 1/2" wood frame, the photo is displayed under glass on a matte that exhibits water lines on the top and bottom. This historic panoramic Stanley Cup champion St. Patricks photo is wonderfully preserved with a vertical crease through Corb Denneny to note.
Pictured left to right are Ted Stackhouse, Paddy Nolan, Glenn Smith, Corb Denneny, Billy Stuart, John Ross Roach, Harry Cameron, Reg Noble, Babe Dye and Ken Randall. “McLean Photo Co., Weston, Ont.” Is stamped on the lower right portion of the vintage matte.
