Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Arguably the greatest era for the blue and white, the Toronto Maple Leafs won four Stanley Cup championships in just six seasons during the 1960s, which included the epic 1967 victory as underdogs that serves as the Leafs most recent championship. This vintage Tim Hortons donut bag has been signed by five, including a trio of HOFers, highlighted by the man Tim Horton himself. Signed on approx June 15, 1967 according to our consignor, the 5" x 10" bag pictures Horton on the front, with the left hand side cut open. All five have signed the reverse, with Horton (bold and flawless), Keon, Duff, Baun and Lou Angotti (played for Chicago during the era). Each player's name is also handwritten by an unknown individual next to each signature. The bag shows a few small stains and general wear one would expect from a half-century old donut bag. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
