Blue and white signature abound including from numerous HOFers in this desirable lot of signed and unsigned Toronto Maple Leafs postcards. Spanning throughout the 1960s and 1970s with a few more recent items included, there are approx 103 Leafs postcards including 43 signed with 22 HOFers, with an additional 9 signed items. Mostly black and white blank-backed examples, the HOFers signing include Plante, Pronovost (2 different), Kelly (2 different), Stanley (2), Bower (8, with 4 different), Keon (3 different), Ballard, Pilote, Duff and Darryl Sittler, with some of the non-HOFer highlights to include Henderson (2 different), Shack (4, with 3 different), Simmons, Ellis (2 different), Walton, Nevin, Pelyk (3, with 2 different) and others. The additional signed items include reproduction cards and small photos with Bower (4, with 3 different), Duff (3, with 2 different), Stewart and Danny Lewicki (signed on reverse).
The majority of the signed postcards display well with nice signatures and lower technical grades for the postcards themselves, with the Plante sporting heavy toning and staining, the Pronovost having creases and a postal stamp, with examples from Bower and Kelly having pinholes. One of the Bower signatures is also smudged. The unsigned postcards also show wear with lower technical grades, with highlights to include Sawchuk (indentations), Horton, Plante (creases), Ullman, Armstrong (2 different), Pilote, Pulford and Keon (2 different). A trio of 1960s Leafs MLG envelopes with postal stamps are also included.
