Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Very nice signed letter (1970) and un-inscribed signed photo of Tommy Douglas, generally considered the father of Canadian Medicare. As Premier of Saskatchewan, he implemented a medicare system whose model was eventually copied by the Federal Government. He was also the first leader of the NDP. And on the CBC show, the Greatest Canadian, in April 2004, he was crowned the greatest Canadian in history. Autographs of Tommy Douglas are hard to come by!!
