Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

A veteran of a dozen NHL seasons, Tom Fergus first appeared for Boston as a 19-year old in 1981-82, scoring 39 points in 61 games as a teenager. We have a Bruins jersey worn by Fergus in 1984-85, and it’s been photo-matched. Currently void of any labeling, this Beantown garment is styled with the iconic Bruins spoked-B team crest in use since 1949. Accented with solid black tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers with yellow trim, the mesh V-neck garment also features attractive matching alternate bruin crests over each shoulder, with the familiar yellow and black striping bands utilized over the sleeves and lower hem. An early-style clasp fight strap has also been utilized, with the garment currently void of any nameplate.
Thorough use was inflicted on the Boston Strong jersey, with loose threading, burns and over 2 dozen team repairs. Most examples are small, with the majority situated over the lower front and sleeves. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, an included numeric image identified as "playoffs 1985" has been matched to the red paint transfer mark on the lower front of the jersey within the bottom yellow stripe.
