This Tim Horton game-issued stick from circa 1964-65, autographed by 15 players, including the late Hockey Hall of Famers Terry Sawchuk and Tim Horton, comes with a letter of provenance. Notably, this Horton stick is offered as a game-issued example due to the distinctive tape job on the knob, differing from other sticks of Horton from that era. While there's a possibility Horton experimented with a different knob or another player used one of his sticks, the unique characteristics suggest its game-issued nature. Details of the stick include "CCM Pro OKd Custom Pattern Made Pro" lettering on both sides of the shaft and the name "Horton" stamped below the knob. The game wear of the stick is mostly made up of minor knicks and puck marks, particularly on the lower shaft and blade. The stick has a horizontal crack through the blade with other additional cracks/splits on the blade. A shellac or varnish has been applied over most of the shaft. The stick bears the signatures of Ron Ellis, Billy Harris, Allan Stanley, Red Kelly, Tim Horton, Johnny Bower, Terry Sawchuk, George Armstrong, Bob Pulford, Dave Keon, Andy Bathgate, Eddie Shack, and three (3) others that are difficult to read. The overall condition of the signatures is readable for the most part, Sawchuk and Horton's being the most clear/bold.
