Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018

One of the most sought after sticks in the hobby, any and all lumber used by the legendary Terry Sawchuk sits atop the list of desirable Original Six era netminders. This particular example was wielded by the iconic backstop during his time with Toronto in the mid-1960s, circa 1964-67. A CCM Pattern Made Custom Pro model, “Sawchuck” appears over the upper shaft, with the original white tape over black on the handle/knob and black tape over the blade, with a few strands missing just over and above the heel section. Moderate use is exhibited, with wear to the blade and marks to the paddle, with the bottom toe section broken and bunched-up. A very solid specimen worthy of placement within any advanced collection.
