Drafted 38th overall by the Los Angeles Kings at the 1970 National Hockey League Amateur Draft, Terry Holbrook would play a total of 43 games in the NHL with the Minnesota North Stars over the course of the 1972-73 and 1973-74 seasons before finishing up his career with 93 games in the WHA as a member of the Cleveland Crusaders in 1974-75 and 1975-76. Offered here, we present this Crusaders jersey worn by Holbrook during his final season of professional hockey in 75'-76'. A heavy duty durene jersey made by Rawlings that was part of the first set worn that final season in Cleveland (the 2nd set jerseys were made of mesh), a Rawlings label displaying a size "48" designation is affixed to the inner collar. A one year style decorated over the front with a layered tackle twill Crusaders team crest that features chain-stitched details, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Holbrook's number "20" in either purple or white single layer tackle twill numerals while "Holbrook" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters that have been sewn directly to the upper back. Having played only fifteen games in the season that this jersey was worn, the piece exhibits just light wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves along with board burns that are observed over both sleeves, red board paint transfers in the white stripe on the front and light pilling on the interior. Originally part of the Twin Cities WHA find, an LOA will accompany the piece.
