Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Loaded with past stars including Lach, Pratt, Bouchard, Brimsek and Max Bentley, the 1966 Hockey Hall of Fame induction also included Robert Blake Theodore “Terrible Ted” Lindsay. We have for your consideration, the framed duplicate of the crest that appears on the HOF induction jacket, with this example presented to Lindsay. The predominant yellow, green and gold of the embroidered crest are emphasized on a black background and framed in a 7 ½” square, with a slightly tarnished nameplate added beneath with “Elected June 1966”. It has been preserved in pleasing condition with a sticker from the T. Eaton Co. of Montreal intact on the reverse. An LOA from the Lindsay family will be included.
The black wooden frame shows wear to the surface in spots, especially along a few edges. The glass can also use a thorough cleaning.
