Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
An absolute legend in Toronto despite first coming to the attention of the Montreal Canadiens while still a teenager, Ted Kennedy spent parts of 14 seasons representing the iconic maple leaf, with the Port Colborne native considered the best face-off man the game has ever seen. We have a Toronto Maple Leafs contract for Kennedy, crafted for the 1947-48 NHL season, signed by Teeder along with fellow deceased HOFers Hap Day and Clarence Campbell. At 8 ½” x 16” (unfolded), the Standard Player’s Contract calls for the superstar to earn a total of $7000.00 (approx. $80,263.63 in 2018 dollars), with bonuses listed including for making either the First or Second All-Star Team. All three HOF signatures display well with no issues, with just light handling wear to the contract itself.
