Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023

Held in Italy in April and May, the 1994 IIHF World Championships featured a strong Canadian team that would go undefeated and capture gold, with an exciting 2-1 win over Finland in the final. This Team Canada jersey was issued for the tournament, and it is accompanied by a game-issued Bill Ranford stick team-signed by Canada. The jersey is a Tackla model with “XXL” sizing along the collar, and measures-out to roughly a size 58. Featuring a screened team crest and numbers, sponsorship patches appear over each upper sleeve. The stick is a Sher-Wood model with "Ranford" stamped to the upper shaft, with stickers from the tournament affixed to the blade. Approx 26 have signed one side of the shaft and paddle in black marker, including Luc Robitaille, Paul Kariya, Joe Sakic, Brendan Shanahan, Bill Ranford, Rob Blake, Shayne Corson, Steve Duchesne, Stu Poirer (trainer) and others. The signature present nicely despite being bunched-up.
