Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Hailing from 1984-85 where Steve Penney tended the nets for the majority of the Montreal Canadiens games that season - finishing with a very respectable 3.08 GGA over 54 games played, we have the Sainte-Foy native’s 1984-85 NHL All-Rookie Team trophy plaque. At roughly 10 ½” x 11 ½”, the shield-shaped plaque features a mounted NHL logo with sticks and pucks, along with a mini-shield plate that lists the particulars, with “National Hockey League - 1984-85 - All-Rookie Team - Steve Penney – Goaltender – Montreal Canadiens”. The plaque exhibits just very light wear, and remains in gorgeous condition. Also included, we have the original box along with a pair of plexiglass stands for display. The 12” x 13” box features a full-colour NHL logo, with a puncture to the lid along with a split corner.
