Beginning his CFL career with Montreal in 1997, defensive tackle Steve Charbonneau later played 5 seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos in the early-2000s, and was a member of the club's Grey Cup championship teams in 2003 and 2005. The 93rd Grey Cup was held in Vancouver, on November 27, 2005, with the Edmonton Eskimos defeating the Montreal Alouettes in a thrilling 38-35 overtime win in front of almost 60,000 at BC Place Stadium. We have the gorgeous 10K gold and diamond ring that was presented to Charbonneau for his status as a 2005 Grey Cup champion. Size 12 with an approx. weight of 65 grams, a raised Grey Cup with “Eskimos” is centered over the face, with a marquise-cut diamond-studded football placed above, and 12 princess-cut diamonds within the Cup to symbolize 12 previous championship teams. With this placed over a green oval stone with “Grey Cup” in raised letters over the left and “Champions” over the right, the lower deck is encompassed with a further 20 round-cut diamonds set in yellow gold, with an additional 34 diamonds rounding the outer tableau for each of the club's pro-record consecutive playoff appearances – with the 54 total diamonds meant to symbolize each team member. The left shank feature's the score along with a 2005 Grey Cup logo, with 3 inserted diamonds to represent the 3 playoff road wins, with the right containing “Charbonneau” and “2005”, with a full color Eskimos logo and Commonwealth Stadium in yellow gold. The interior band has been stamped with Edmonton's “Dig Deep” mantra along with "Jostens 10K". Stunning in appearance, the ring shows thorough wear from use with numerous small scratches and dings to edges of the band and shanks. Accompanying the ring is the original rosewood presentation box with Eskimos logo, with light wear to the box. An LOA signed by Steve Charbonneau will accompany this prized Grey Cup ring.
