Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
This game-used stick has been attributed to Bill Plager, and it’s been team-signed by the 1971-72 St. Louis Blues. A Sher-Wood Pattern Made Professional with Tex-n-Wrap, the stick has “23” handwritten on the upper shaft along with a date stamp of “9-Mar 1972”. The stick retains its tape on the blade and knob, with 24 signatures penned in red across the front side of the shaft, with most presenting extremely well. Included are all three Plager brothers with Bill, Bob and Barclay, along with Frank St. Marseille, Gary Sabourin, Mike Murphy, Terry Crisp, Brian Lavender, Andre Dupont, Curt Bennett, Danny O’Shea, Gerry Odrowski, Wayne Stephenson, John Arbour and others. The stick shows nice use, with wear to the taped section of blade along with marks on the lower shaft.
