Current Stanley Cup champions at the time of this writing, the St Louis Blues began life as an expansion club in 1967, with 10 Division championships won along with appearances in four finals. This lot contains a great grouping of Blues team-issued press photos totaling approx 280, and ranging from the inaugural season in 1967-68, to 1979-80, with the majority hailing from the 1970s. All glossy black and white prints with most in the 8” x 10” range, included, we have 28 photos from the first season in 1967-68 including Doug Harvey, Glenn Hall and Al Arbour (most are in low grade, with punched holes and tape residue), 38 photos from 1970-71 (appears to be a complete set of 31 plus 7 duplicates), 23 photos from 1971-72, 14 photos from 1972-73, 24 paper stock colour photos from 1972-73 with original envelope (these are approx 7” x 9” and in high grade), 38 photos from 1973-74 with original envelope, 41 photos from 1974-75, 54 photos from 1975-76 and 20 photos from 1979-80. There is some minor duplication within the collection, with the majority of the photos displaying well with light handling wear as well as the odd corner ding.
