Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Exerting his dominance once again during the 2016-17 NHL playoffs with a Conn Smythe win along with leading the Pens to their second-consecutive Cup, Sidney Crosby exhibited why he’s STILL the best hockey player on the face of the earth. We have a pair of game-issued gloves from the future Hall of Famer, along with a game-used stick blade that hails from Sidney’s rookie-era. A Sher-Wood 1050 model, the “sby” of “Crosby” is visible on the blade’s stem, with the original tape in place over the blade. Good use is exhibited, with wear to the underside along with marks across the frontside taped section. A hologram has also been affixed over the heel section from Double Deke Hockey. Comes with COAs.
The gloves are Reebok Pro models in solid black with all identifiers embroidered-on, with “87” appearing along an extended flap over the wrist guard on each glove, along with “Penguins”. Beige leather accents are also present matching the Penguins colour scheme, with the original manufacturer’s tags still present on both gloves. Game-issued and never worn, each glove remains in gorgeous condition with absolutely no issues, perfect for display.
