Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Hailing from the small American town of Bismarck, netminder Scott Fankhouser spent four seasons with UMass-Lowell, with his NHL experience 23 games played for the Atlanta Thrashers spread over a pair of seasons. We have a signed Hershey Bears jersey that was worn by the 1994 draft choice in 2001-02, his only season with the club. SP labeling and a Pro “58G” size tag sit along the collar, with SP and AHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with “Hershey” across the chest in attractive script with inset bear below, the tie-neck sweater has been accented with slanted tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Fankhouser” across the nameplate in slanted maroon twill letters. There is also a sponsorship patch on the left shoulder and Hershey Park arena patch on the right, with an American flag crest just above the right breast. Faint red paint transfer is visible over the left elbow and between the reverse numbers, with a few random dark marks present. Fankhouser has signed over the reverse “4”, and the signature is heavily worn/faded.
