Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Named after the NL baseball club, the Boston Braves were short lived in the AHL, icing a team from 1971-74 and playing out of Boston Garden. Finishing in first place their inaugural season (in a two-way tie), the Braves were backstopped by future NHL star netminder Dan Bouchard. We have a Braves jersey that was only worn during the club’s final AHL season, in 1973-74. A size “48” label from Champion is affixed to the collar, with all identifiers including the sleeve and verso numbers and team crest rubberized, with matching Indian head Braves logos over each shoulder. We should note that Bob Gryp who played for the team in 1972-73 and 1973-74 is listed as having worn number #19 with the club. A few small marks are visible over the right sleeve on the vintage mesh, with some light staining over the upper and lower front and left elbow.
A photo that shows players wearing this style of jersey will be included.
