Advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2014-15, Ryan McDonagh and the New York Rangers defeated Sidney Crosby's Pittsburgh Penguins and Alex Ovechkin's Washington Capitals, but lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning in seven games. McDonagh would dress in all 19 Rangers playoff games, scoring 9 points. Hailing from those 2014-15 playoffs, offered here is this Rangers captain’s jersey McDonagh during second round versus the Washington Capitals. Made by Reebok, a size “58” flag tag is affixed to the collar, with a Rangers barcode affixed above along with a Steiner Sports hologram, while NHL and Reebok crests reside over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with “Rangers” placed diagonally across the chest in drop-shadow tackle twill, McDonagh’s number “27” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “McDonagh” across the affixed arching nameplate. With the distinguished captain’s “C” residing over the left breast, the jersey, worn for a total of three (3) games exhibits wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves as well as a couple of small board burns and some red board paint transfer observed over the left sleeve and left hip hem. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Images #472922468 (May 10th, 2015 vs Washington – ECSF Game 6) and #473140194 (May 10th, 2015 vs Washington – ECSF Game 6) to the stick mark near the reverse hem in the first image and to the loose white thread that goes into the top blue stripe at McDonagh’s left hip in the second image. Showcasing “Round 2 2015” screened to the fight strap on the interior, a matching Steiner LOA will accompany the piece.
