Earning a trio of Lady Byng trophies during his exceptional HOF career, Ron Francis also made appearances at four different NHL All-Star Games, and is currently number 5 on the NHL’s All-Time Points list. From his time with Pittsburgh, where he enjoyed winning a pair of Stanley Cup championships, we have a photo-matched Penguins jersey worn by the HOFer in 1992-93 during the second of his three 100-point seasons. A Maska Ultrafil label with handwritten “10” and a size “52” fly tag is affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the Pens team crest in use starting from this season until 2000-01, “10” in oversized tackle twill is sewn to the sleeves and verso, with the NHL centennial crest to the right breast. An alternate’s “A” was also affixed to the left breast at different times during the season. Exhibiting heavy game-use throughout with puck and stick marks along with burns, material pulls and pilling, there are also team repairs, with examples situated on front (6), reverse (2), shoulders (1), left sleeve (5) and right sleeve (5), with a large team repair also visible beneath the left armpit. An undated image has been matched to the long black mark on the lower left front side of the jersey, with a screenshot also showing the long black mark on the left side hem. An LOA will accompany.
