Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - March 2007
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/27/2007
With grace and speed on the ice and models galore hanging off his arm off of it, Ron Duguay was on top of the world in the late-1970s and into the ‘80s. Doogie’s red mesh jersey that he donned in the 1981 Canada Cup is by Sandow with size “48” added in ballpoint to the company tag in the neck. Everything is screened-on including “Duguay” across the back (no nameplate), his number “29” and “Sandow SK” on the rear hem. With a loop-style fight strap, the jersey exhibits very light game use with notably a frayed right cuff and a couple of light scrapes in the white Team Canada logo on the front. Ron appeared in seven tournament games, picking up two assists along the way. Preserved in outstanding condition, the jersey from Alan Eagleson’s personal collection will come with his signed letter of authenticity.
