Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Hailing from an especially successful night for all-star Rene Robert, we have a puck originally distributed by Hockey Diversified from the NHL Goal Puck Program that was used by the French Connection member to score a goal during the 1972-73 NHL season, vs the Minnesota North Stars, at the Met Center, on Dec 2, 1972. Assisted by linemate Rick Martin and Paul Terbenche, it was Robert’s 15th goal of the season. The last goal of the first period scored at 18:58, Robert had already netted a pair that period, and adding an assist in the second, the Trois-Rivières native enjoyed a four-point night. Despite his efforts, the Stars would still defeat the Sabres at home, 8-6. The rubberized North Stars logo and Goal Puck Program label both have darkened considerably, with just light wear to the puck itself including a few minor cuts. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
