Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
From his first of two 40-goal seasons, we have a puck originally distributed by Hockey Diversified from the NHL Goal Puck Program that was used by Rene Robert to score a goal during the 1972-73 NHL season, vs the Minnesota North Stars, at the Met Center, on Dec 2, 1972. Assisted by Mike Robitaille and Rick Martin, it was Robert’s 13th goal of the season. The first goal of the contest scored at 1:33 of the first, Robert would add a pair that period along with an assist in the second for a four-point night. Despite his efforts, the Stars would still defeat the Sabres at home, 8-6. The rubberized North Stars logo and Goal Puck Program label both have darkened considerably, with just light wear to the puck itself. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
