Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Adopting an appropriate nickname meaning simply “Northmen” or “Northerners” for both it’s northernmost location and the hardy and tough European men that traditionally stocked the province, the Quebec Nordiques quenched a hockey starved public that went without a professional hockey club since the Quebec Bulldogs lone NHL season, in 1919-20. The club would serve as one of the first 12 to play in the inaugural WHA season of 1972-73, joining the NHL along with Winnipeg, Edmonton and New England in 1979. This lot contains a great Nordiques postcard and photo collection of approx 899, ranging from 1980-81, to 1994-95, with approx 46 examples signed. The breakdown for the items by year is as follows.
