Selected first overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 1987, Pierre Turgeon dressed for six different clubs throughout his career, with All-Star Game appearances made in 1990, 1993, 1994, 1996 and 2000. The Quebec native also earned the Lady Byng Memorial in 1993. From his first of five seasons in Missouri, we have a signed St Louis Blues alternate captain’s jersey worn by Turgeon in 1996-97. Center Ice and Starter labeling with a “54-R” size swatch with “77” handwritten is affixed to the collar (along with a green “A+” stamp), with embroidered Starter and NHL crests to the reverse hem. Featuring a tackle twill Blues team crest, “77” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in stylized numerals, with alternate crests to each shoulder. Showing considerable game-use with the front and sleeves covered with puck and stick marks, there are also material pulls, burns to the sleeves and a few small unrepaired holes/slits, with pilling to the interior. Turgeon has signed the reverse “7” in gold ink, with the signature bleeding into the background somewhat. The Blues’ “Set 2” team patch is screened to the inside hem along with a logo from Custom Crafted.
