The first NHL player to register 100 points in a season, Phil Esposito also held the most goals-in-a-season record with 76, with Wayne Gretzky eclipsing the total, in 1982. This stick was used by Espo during his time with the Boston Bruins in the mid-1970s, and it originates from the personal collection of Tom Johnson. A Northland Custom Pro model, “Esposito” is stamped over the upper shaft, with “7” also stamped in red twice. Additional stamps from team supplier Woody Dumart grace each side of the shaft, with the original black tape intact on the blade and white over the knob. A pattern code of “0955” is visible over the underside of the shaft. Exhibiting nice game-use, there is wear to the taped section of blade including the underside, with a crack to the top edge of the blade. There is also numerous marks to the shaft. An LOA from the Johnson Family will accompany.
