Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
The first Czech player to see action in over 1,000 NHL contests, Petr Svoboda dressed for four different clubs throughout his 17-year career, with a gold medal won on the strength of his game-winning goal vs the Russians, in the gold medal game at the 1998 Winter Olympics, in Nagano. This Canadiens alternate captain’s jersey was worn by the Most native in 1991-92, his final season with the Habs. A Maska Ultrafil label graces the collar, with the sweater measuring-out to roughly a size 54. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “25” appears over the sleeves and verso in white-over-blue tackle twill, with the NHL 75th anniversary crest over the right breast. Obtained directly from the Montreal Canadiens, a signed LOA from Rejean Houle will accompany.
Exhibiting a clean front and team crest, a few board burns are visible over the upper and lower left sleeve, with numerous team repairs present, including over the reverse (1), left (4) and right (9) sleeves.
