The 2004 World U-17 Hockey Challenge was an international ice hockey tournament held in Newfoundland. Featuring three Canadian teams (Ontario, Pacific and Quebec) along with an American squad, Team Ontario defeated Team Pacific 5–2 to win the gold medal. Former NHL'er Peter Sidorkiewicz served as an assistant coach with Team Ontario, and we offer the ring presented to the past Hartford Whalers netminder for the team's gold medal win. Size 10 with an approximate weight of 52 grams, the sterling ring has some 10K gold components on the tableau but unknown if they are just plated 10K. The tableau features an enamel team Canada logo with "World" above and "Champions" below, along with "2004" on the sides. The right shank has a Team Ontario logo with "Sidorkiewicz" above and "5-2" below, while the left shank sports "Get it Done" above and "5-0-1" below. The inner band is stamped "STER10K". Exhibiting wear from use, there are scratches to the outer band and shanks, along with a few dings along edges. From his personal collection, a signed LOA from Peter Sidorkiewicz will accompany.
