Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Superb 1984-85 Clarence Campbell Bowl trophy was presented to Edmonton Oilers owner Peter Pocklington. Edmonton opened the 1985 playoffs with a three-game sweep over Vancouver and followed that up with a four-game win over Winnipeg. The Oilers needed six games to take out Chicago in the conference final to win their third straight Clarence S. Campbell Bowl. This personal miniature Clarence Campbell Bowl presented to Pocklington has his full name, the team's name and the championship season engraved on one side of the lidded cup with handles on either side. The trophy's full name and its 1968 year of inception are engraved on the other. On a 3-inch high, six-sided wooden base with a green felt bottom, the silver-plated memento rises to 11" and has been preserved in beautiful condition, with just a bit of light tarnishing. This fantastic piece from the great Edmonton Oilers dynasty of the 1980s comes with an LOA.
