Spending all four (4) seasons of his junior career as a member of the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League, Paul DiPietro would spend the 1989-90 season serving as the team's captain while registering a total of 119 points in 66 games played. Drafted that summer by the Montreal Canadiens at 102nd overall, offered here, we present this Sudbury Wolves jersey worn by DiPietro. Made by CCM, a sewn over Maska Ultrafil tag displaying a washed out handwritten size "52" identifier penned to it is affixed to the inner collar while the CCM logo has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front of the garment with a gorgeous Wolves team crest that features embroidered details, white twill letters spelling out "Sudbury" and "Wolves" have been added on an upward diagonally at either side of the crest while the distinguished captain's "C" has been affixed over the left breast. Having had Paul's number "22" sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer white-over-grery tackle twill numerals, "DiPietro" is spelt out in white twill letters across the affixed blue coloured nameplate across the top of the back. Exhibiting excellent game-wear throughout, stick marks and board burns are found over the front, reverse and both sleeves while the sleeves are show numerous unrepaired holes and cuts as well as blue coloured paint transfer marks. With some minor staining seen throughout, especially at the hem line, and a red coloured transfer mark through the second "2" on the reverse, the interior of the jersey shows light-to-moderate pilling while the fight strap is heavily salted and rusted. Hailing from his personal collection, an LOA signed by DiPietro will accompany the piece.
