With just over 700 games played between them at the time, the 2009 Winter Classic pitted the then-current Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings against the powerful Chicago Black Hawks at Wrigley Field before over 40,000 jubilant fans. This Black Hawks alternate captain’s jersey was worn in the photo-shoot and warm-up prior to the match by Patrick Sharp. A Reebok name band along with size tagging are attached to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the attractive team crest in use during the early-1950s with “Chicago” above and “Black Hawks” below, the tie-neck garment has been styled with three-layer twill alternate’s “A”, sleeve and back numbers, with the important 2009 Winter Classic crest residing over the right breast. With no visible signs of wear, the jersey remains in absolutely gorgeous condition, perfect for those collectors of rare and vintage retro-styles. An inverted MeiGray patch numbered F05082 sits on the inside hem, and according to their population report, the jersey is a "Worn During Photo-Shoot and WarmUp - NHLPA Set / Black Retro - Winter Classic 1/1/2009 w/A" example. An LOA from the NHLPA will accompany.
