Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

“Just think of it this way, the other team has pulled their goalie, it’s wide open, all you’ve got to do is tap it in.” Adam Sandler and company married the worlds of golf and hockey in a hilarious way when the feature film “Happy Gilmore” was released in 1996. Hockey player Happy Gilmore became a golf phenomenon, antagonizing his rival, Shooter McGavin on his rise to the top while memorably getting punched out by Pro-Am partner Bob Barker along the way. This fantastic “hockey stick” golf putter modeled after the style used by Sandler while shooting “Happy Gilmore” is a limited edition developed by Odyssey. This distinctive golf club with a thin wood shaft measures 44” from the top of the handle to the tip of its heavy metal putter, which is in the shape of the blade of a hockey stick. Odyssey Golf and “1 of 1000” are engraved on one side of the putter. All of the putters are numbered 1 of 1000 so this is not the first one in the limited edition. The club has cellophane over the gripped handle and comes with its original Odyssey Golf box, which measures 44” x 14” and is 2 1/2" high.
