Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Spending considerable time in his native Russia with Avangard Omsk, defenceman Nikita Nikitin’s NHL time was shared with three clubs including Edmonton, with Russia represented internationally at the World Championships and Winter Olympics. We have a photo-matched Team Russia jersey worn by Nikitin at the 2012 World Championships, where the Russians won gold. A Nike logo along with “62” sizing sits screened-onto the inside collar above an IIHF label, with an additional IIHF crest over the reverse bottom hem. Featuring a textured and embroidered Russian team crest with “Russia” beneath in Cyrillic, the synthetic polyester jersey has been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching sponsorship patches over each upper sleeve. A Nike inventory bar code numbered “77911” also sits inverted over the inside hem. Exhibiting moderate game-use, there are burns over each elbow section, with no large or obtrusive black marks visible. Getty Image #144053121 (May 8, 2012) has been matched to the burn mark on the right elbow. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
