Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Dazzling jewelry here was produced after the New York Islanders became only the second NHL franchise to capture four consecutive Stanley Cup titles, beating the Edmonton Oilers in four straight games in the 1983 finals as the Isles and Conn Smythe winner Billy Smith limited Gretzky and company to just six goals. Produced for the women in the New York hockey heroes’ lives, the championship bracelets featured a gold section similar to the top of a Stanley Cup ring, with the year and Cup champs notation encircling four cubic zircons. Stamped “14K” on the reverse and joined by a seemingly child’s size golden bracelet, the piece was originally presented to Clark Gillies' wife. Exhibiting light wear and in excellent condition and is originally from Clark Gillies' personal collection.
