Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
An American icon as the first human being to walk on the surface of the moon, Neil Armstrong was described by his family as a "reluctant American hero", with John Glenn stating, “He was a humble person, and that's the way he remained after his lunar flight, as well as before”. We have a signed and framed photo display of the legendary astronaut. An 8” x 10” colour photo has been centered, with an Apollo II patch added beneath, with Armstrong signing across his image in fiber-tip marker, adding a personalization, with moderate fading taking place. Double-matted and framed to full dimensions of 18 ½” x 24 ½”, the photo sports a few small visible creases, with the somewhat light signature still displaying well against the white background. Sadly passing in 2012 at the age of 82, a JSA LOA will accompany this important signature.
