Finishing first overall at the conclusion of the 1977-78 NHL season, the Montreal Canadiens would advance to the playoffs, and seeking their third consecutive Stanley Cup championship, the Habs would first have to get past the Toronto Maple Leafs in the semifinals. This Montreal Forum program hails from the 1978 Stanley Cup semifinals, and it’s been team-signed on the front and back covers by the Canadiens and Maple Leafs respectively. At approx 8 ½” x 11” and sporting a gleaming image of Lord Stanley’s hardware, 19 Canadiens have signed the cover in matching ballpoint including Yvan Cournoyer, Bob Gainey, Scotty Bowman, Guy Lapointe, Ken Dryden, Jacques Lemaire, Larry Robinson, Guy Lafleur, Jean Beliveau (executive) and others, while approx 11 Leafs have signed the back cover including Lanny McDonald, Jack Valiquette, Dan Maloney, Darryl Sittler and others. The signatures display well, with a few harder to see due to the background. The program itself exhibits light wear to the spine, with the center line-up loose.
