Playing in the Triple-A American Association from 1970 through 1984, the Wichita Aeros were established as an expansion club when the league increased from 6 to 8 teams following the 1969 season. The club served as affiliates to the Cleveland Indians (1970–71), Chicago Cubs (1972–80), Texas Rangers (1981), Montreal Expos (1982–83) and Cincinnati Reds (1984). This Aeros jersey originates from circa-1983, and it’s accompanied by a Montreal Expos bat boy jersey from 1980. The Aeros jersey is in Expos colours as the club served as Montreal’s farm team in 1982 and 1983, with a Rawlings label with “40” sizing over the front tail, a tackle twill team crest and “21” over the reverse and right breast in single blue twill. The Expos bat boy jersey sport’s a Wilson label with “38” sizing, with an “80 2” year/set swatch over the front tail. Featuring a tackle twill team crest, “BB” appears over the reverse for “bat boy”.
The rarely-seen Aeros jersey exhibits a few random marks and small stains, with light to moderate wear on the Expos bat boy jersey, with some loose stitching to the reverse numbers.
