Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
The inaugural Stanley Cup playoffs post-expansion, the 1967-68 postseason featured Montreal crushing the new St Louis Blues in the Stanley Cup final four-straight. The Habs would first meet Boston in the playoffs, and we offer a gorgeous framed display with a Neilson advertising poster signed by Gerry Cheevers that features Montreal vs Boston during the 1968 playoffs, with mounted pucks signed by John Ferguson and Dallas Smith. At 23” x 36”, the poster depicts the trio in game-action, with descriptive text and a Neilson logo over the bottom left. Cheevers has placed a flawless blue marker signature near his image along with “HOF 85”, with each team puck mounted over the upper left, with each signed in silver. Set in a shadow box display to full dimensions of roughly 26” x 39 ½”, the poster and signatures display beautifully and sport no issues.
