Celebrating a century of existence, the most for any NHL hockey club, the Montreal Canadiens wore commemorative jerseys during both the 2008-09 and 2009-10 NHL seasons, with a complete set of 6 different examples offered. First, we have a “1912-13” style Canadiens jersey that was issued to Mathieu Schneider for the March 31st 2009 game, followed by a “1945-46” style Canadiens jersey that was issued to Andrei Markhov during the 2008-09 campaign and a “1909-10” style jersey issued to Cedrick Desjardins for the Nov 21st 2009 game. Next, we have a “1910-11” style Canadiens jersey, again issued to Cedrick Desjardins, this time for the Nov 10th 2009 game, and a Habs jersey issued to Kyle Chipchura for the Centennial Game on Dec 4th 2009. Lastly, we have a “1915-16” style jersey worn by Josh Gorges in a Dec 4th 2008 game against the New York Rangers. LOAs will accompany each jersey along with their original boxes.
Each jersey features tackle twill team crests and identifiers, with the respective player’s name over the nameplate. Team patches are also present on each, with holograms affixed to each reverse number that matches the accompanying team LOA. The 1912-13 style jersey is sized at 54, the 1945-46 example is size 56 and both the 1909-10 and 1910-11 style jerseys are Goalie Style 58. The Centennial jersey is size 56, with the game-worn 1915-16 style jersey size 54. Regarding condition, each issued jersey remains in wonderful condition with no issues, with just light wear including a few faint marks to the game-worn 1915-16 style Habs jersey.
