Lumber used by players that have all proudly donned the famous CH emblem of the Montreal Canadiens, offered here is this quartet of sticks used by players of the famed bleu, blanc et rouge during the decade of the 1980s including HOFers Bob Gainey and Steve Shutt as well as Mark Napier and Brian Engblom. A mix of Sher-Wood (Shutt and Engblom), Canadien (Gainey) and Victoriaville (Napier) models, each stick has either the players name stamped to the upper shaft or their number penned in marker ink and in some cases both. All retaining their original tape jobs over the handles/knobs and blades (except for the Napier example), the Gainey stick sports a date stamp of "Fev 8, 1988" on the underside of the shaft while the Shut and Engblom sticks display date stamps of "14 Mars 1980" and "18 Mars 1981" respectively. With the Gainey and Engblom sticks featuring intact or partially intact foil accent stickers over their shafts, the sticks all show all show good game-use via numerous marks and abrasions while appearing to remain free of any major cracks or breaks though it is worth mentioning for accuracy that the bottoms of all four blades show some wear. Additionally, the blade of the Napier stick is darkened on both sides.
